Let’s Taco’Bout it
11 March 2014Storyteller, strategist, and socially awkward entrepreneur with 20+ years in marketing, communications, and event management.
From touring graduate films for the Australian Film Television and Radio School to producing large-scale charity galas, running a national content business, and now leading Social Gain, my work has always amplified voices, ideas, and communities. I specialise in creating connection and impact through strategic engagement, creative programming, and values-led marketing. A trained copywriter and experienced PR/marketing professional, I bring the polish of national campaigns together with the heart of grassroots community work.
My career began in film and arts marketing with the Australian Film Television and Radio School (AFTRS), where I coordinated national events, industry showcases, and the National Screening Tour, promoting and profiling emerging filmmakers across metro and regional Australia. I have worked across the charity, publishing, and entertainment sectors in roles including Event Development Manager for Variety – the Children’s Charity NSW, Feature Writer for Woodlands Publishing, and freelance marketing campaigns for Palace Films. As a trained copywriter (AWARD School), I founded Sydney Writer, a strategy-to-launch service for purpose-driven professionals, and later Social Gain, my current enterprise that activates social change through creative projects and events. Social Gain’s flagship event, the Dubbo Women’s Festival, has received recognition at NSW Parliament and continues to grow as a platform for connection, diversity, and community impact. I combine high-level strategic thinking with hands-on delivery across content creation, brand storytelling, audience engagement, and event production. My work reflects a deep commitment to community, collaboration, and ensuring projects are both professionally executed and socially meaningful.
